What You Need

Before getting started with WOLF ONE, ensure you have the necessary equipment and accessories.

Included with WOLF ONE​

Each WOLF ONE node includes:

  • WOLF ONE node
  • USB Type-C cable
  • PC Sync cable
  • Documentation and quick start guide

Required Equipment​

Power Supply​

For Single WOLF ONE:

  • USB Type-C cable (connects to computer or 5v USB adapter)

For Multi-Node WOLF System:

  • 24V 2.5A DC power adapter (supports ~20 nodes)
note

Systems with more than 20 nodes require additional power injection points along the chain. Email contact@arceye.com for more information. Do not directly connect multiple 24V Bus power adapters to a WOLF ONE chain.

Camera Support​

  • Most cameras with external shutter release port

Camera Sync Cables​

You need one cable per camera, matching your camera's external shutter release port:

WOLF Connector:

  • WOLF ONE connector: 2.5mm TRS

Common Camera Connectors:

  • Sony - S2 connector (Multi-terminal)
  • Nikon - N1 (10-pin) or N3
  • Canon - C1 (N3) or C3 (E3)

Required for Multi-Node Systems​

Bus Cables​

  • Type: Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables (Shielded, 24AWG required)
  • Connector: RJ45
  • Quantity: One cable between each WOLF node
  • Maximum length: 100m (328 ft) per cable segment

Optional Equipment​

For Strobe/Flash Sync​

If using studio strobes:

  • Strobe units with sync input
  • 3.5mm TS (mono) cables to connect strobes to mono ports
  • OR wireless trigger transmitters with 3.5mm ports (PocketWizard, etc.)

If you plan to sync strobes, we reccomend calibrating your cameras first.

For Camera Calibration​

Hardware:

  • PC sync cable (3.5mm TS compatible)
  • OR wireless trigger transmitters with 3.5mm ports (PocketWizard, etc.)
tip

Use the same wireless triggers during calibration that you'll use during shooting.

For External Triggering​

  • External trigger device (foot pedal, wired remote, etc.)
  • 3.5mm TRS cable
  • Device must output trigger signal via TRS connector

For Computer Control​

  • Computer (Mac or Windows)
  • USB Type-C cable
  • Arc Eye Leash app (free download)

System Requirements:

  • macOS 10.14+ (Apple Silicon)
  • Windows 10+ (64-bit)

Shopping Checklist​

Use this checklist to ensure you have everything:

Basic Single-Node Setup​

  • WOLF ONE node
  • Single USB Type-C cable (for Leash App connection)
  • Camera with external shutter release capability
  • Camera sync cable (2.5mm TRS to camera connector)
  • Computer with Leash app installed

Multi-Node Array Setup​

  • WOLF ONE nodes (quantity needed)
  • 24V DC power adapter (2.5A recommended)
  • Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6, one less than number of nodes)
  • Camera sync cables (one per camera)
  • Single USB Type-C cable (for Leash App connection to first node)

With Strobes/Flash​

  • Studio strobes or speedlights
  • 3.5mm TS mono cables (one per strobe) OR wireless trigger transmitters and receivers
  • PC sync cable for calibration (3.5mm TRS or camera-specific)

What's Not Included​

Items you need to supply:

  • Cameras
  • Camera sync cables
  • 24V power adapter (for multi-node systems)
  • Ethernet cables (for multi-node systems)
  • Strobe cables or wireless triggers (if using flash)
  • Computer (for Leash app and configuration)
